Jim McDowell VP Marketing for MINI
On April 3rd 2007, just over three years ago, the 1,000,000th MINI rolled off the assembly line. A premium-priced small car built in Oxford, England. MINI took the United States by storm and today has the highest resale values of any vehicle line sold in America.
This when “everyone” scoffed at English labor, that “no one” in America would be willing to pay a premium for a small car. SUVs were king. So what is MINI planning to do for an encore to keep their highly coveted position ?
Ask Jim McDowell, VP for Marketing, Sales and Aftersales in the U.S. Because it is his job to figure that out and make it happen. Jim came from BMW where he spent twelve years as VP of Marketing. Previous to that he served at Porsche as Director of Marketing (1990-93) and as Planning Director (1985-90).
